KACB One of 27 Affiliates Awarded Silver Star Status in Texas by Keep Texas Beautiful

Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), a statewide grassroots environmental and community improvement non-profit organization, recently named Keep Aransas County Beautiful (KACB) a Silver Star Affiliate, a designation granted to only 27 of KTB’s nearly 300 affiliates. 

700+ RFMS Students - Day of Kindness in Aransas County

 Rockport-Fulton Middle School (RFMS) students spent their Valentine’s Day giving back to the community in a big way. In partnership with Keep Aransas County Beautiful (KACB), 700 RFMS students participated in the first annual Aransas County Day of Kindness Friday, Feb. 14

Red Star Studio’s Joe Barrington is the unanimous choice of the Keep Aransas County Beautiful (KACB) Blue Crab Committee to be the sculptor to bring the iconic “Big Blue Crab” back to welcome residents and visitors... 

RETREET Plants 170 Trees for Harvey Impacted Residents

 The planting will be a "major environmental and infrastructural investment that will leave a legacy for generations to come," RETREET said in a press release. The trees will also help reestablish the "environmental identity of Aransas County," as well as provide shade for islanders, and habitat for birds and other wildlife. 

KTB Awards KACB One of 12 Green Bag Grants

 Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) has recognized Keep Aransas County Beautiful (KACB) as a recipient of a 2019 Green Bag Grant. Through funding from HEB and Central Market, KTB provided 12 affiliate communities with a share of $25,000 to support educational and programmatic opportunities relating to sustainability, recycling, litter prevention, beautification and water conservation.

KACB Addresses Salt Lake Restoration

 Salt Lake is yet another important area that was in dire need of help due to Hurricane Harvey. KACB stepped in and helped alleviate this issue with its clean up and restoration of the lake.
